This  promises to be a fun and memorable event for all abilities. \nCurling is a Winter Olympic team sport\, often described as “chess on ice”. Players slide polished granite stones towards a target while teammates sweep the ice to influence the stone’s path. It’s surprisingly strategic\, highly addictive\, and suitable for all ages and abilities. \nPBA will shout your first beer or wine\, along with finger food. If you’re heading onto the ice\, however\, it’s strictly non-alcoholic drinks until you’re safely back on solid ground! \nWhat to wear \n\nSneakers (the club provides rubber grippers to fit over your shoes)\nComfortable trousers or track pants\nA warm top or jacket\n\nThe Auckland Curling Club will provide all the equipment and expert instruction\, so no experience is necessary. \nNot keen on sliding the stone on the ice? No problem. A delivery stick can be used to push the stone\, making curling an accessible sport that welcomes participants of all abilities. \nBring a colleague and come along for a great evening of networking\, fun\, and perhaps discovering your hidden Olympic talent!
